Experience

Alexander Sergeevich Gasparov began his medical career and worked for 30 years at one of the country’s leading institutions — the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology.

Over the years, he has maintained close and productive collaborations with prominent experts in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, including academicians of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences such as V.I. Kulakov, L.V. Adamyan, G.T. Sukhikh, V.N. Serov, as well as Professors V.N. Prilepskaya, V.E. Radzinsky, A.G. Kosachenko, K.A. Yavorovskaya, E.F. Kira, T.A. Nazarenko, T.A. Fedorova, E.A. Kalinina, corresponding member E.M. Vikhlyaeva, and many others.

From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Gasparov served as the Chief Obstetrician-Gynecologist of the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation. During this period, the country achieved significant progress in reducing maternal mortality, lowering perinatal losses, and increasing the birth rate — a positive trend that continues to this day.

He is currently affiliated with the University Clinic of Reproductive and Operative Gynecology “I’m Healthy!”

Education

Graduated with honors from the First Moscow Medical Institute named after I.M. Sechenov in 1978. From 1978 to 2008, Alexander Sergeevich worked at the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology of RAMS in the department of female infertility—the only such department in the USSR at the time working in accordance with World Health Organization standards. Later, it was renamed the Department for the Preservation and Restoration of Reproductive Function.
He defended his PhD dissertation in 1986 under the supervision of Tatyana Yakovlevna Pshenichnikova (WHO expert); his doctoral advisor in 1996 was academician of RAMS and leading scientist of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Ivanovich Kulakov.
